Collaborative Law

Collaborative Law in Place of Litigation

Collaborative Law is an alternative to litigation. In Collaborative Law, the parties participate in a voluntary process to resolve their differences with the assistance of their attorneys and a neutral coach. Instead of asking a Judge to decide very personal family matters, the parties themselves work together to craft a plan that meets their specific needs and circumstances.

In Collaborative Law, the parties voluntarily disclose all information which is relevant and material to the matter that must be decided, and they agree to use good faith efforts in their negotiations to reach a mutually acceptable settlement.

Collaborative Law focuses on cooperation and open discussion to reach shared solutions and foster ongoing respectful communication.
